The third edition is the result of a long and patient work which lasted more than a year. It has just been released to the press with a full review, enriched with new drawings and items of new coves, many updates and new B&W prints.
The elegant bindings, the accuracy of the details, the splendid photographs and the many drawings not only make this guide unique, but also the best product currently available on the market for this region (it certainly makes for a unique present for deep sea sailors and armchair travellers alike).
The work is divided into two sections.
The first 150 pages contain subjects of general interest such as yacht preparation, rules of navigating, information about Chile and Argentina, meteorology, radio
frequencies, flora, fauna, geology, history, heritage, a useful English/Spanish dictionary and a comprehensive bibliography.
The second part is strictly nautical. It describes more than 400 anchorages, all visited and thoroughly checked out in detail by the authors during their 16 years of sailing
in these waters. The description of every anchorage is accompanied by a detailed plan, with recommendations as to where it is best to anchor as well as other practical tips.
The pilot includes:
- 443 records with anchorages, coves and harbours;
- 451 general and detailed charts;
- 107 drawings and historical pictures;
- 93 colour prints and 93 B&W prints.
